Saint Francis of Assisi loved nature and is considered the "Patron Saint of Animals". It is said he was able to actually communicate with all the creatures he met. Today, during a yearly remembrance of St. Francis' love for all God's creatures, pet owners take their animal companions to church in the fall for a special blessing. At many Franciscan churches, a friar, dressed in a brown robe tied with a cord, welcomes each pet with a prayer.

These bows are made from a single or double-fold of beautiful, premium-grade Red or White satin ribbon with an overlay of white satin ribbon with a red heart imprint. Centered is a sparkling red stone. The overlay is 3/8" wide for all size bows.

Comes in four sizes. Large and Medium have metal clips (unless Latex bands are requested); Petite has Latex bands (mini-clip available, if requested) - they are individually packaged. The Tiny have Latex bands and are packaged in matched pairs.
